Radon is a
naturally occurring radioactive gas. It is colourless, odourless and is
produced by the decay of uranium. It occurs in rock and soil almost
everywhere on the planet.
As a gas, radon is mobile. It travels through fissures in the rock of
the earth's surface, through air spaces between particles of soil, and
it enters a building by seeping through cracks in the foundation walls
and in the floors.
Radon can also be found in some well water. In homes, cottages or camps
that draw on wells for their water, radon can enter the air from running
taps and even from the shower head. Therefore, high concentrations of
radon can occur inside any home or building. Radon is odourless and colourless, the only way to know the
level or Radon in your home or workplace is to test for it.
Our Radon Testing Services includes setup of test canisters, pick-up and
delivery to laboratory for testing. Email or fax copy of test results to
client and unlimited phone and email support on all tests. |
